Why be a PSS?
I have decided to be a PSS as I think a lot of people may not have had the opportunity to find people they vibe with in law school. University can be a lonely place and compiled with the rigours of law school, this can be exacerbated. Be it due to having lesser luck in class allocations or more online classes or for whatever reason, the important thing is that I think no one should have to feel alone here. Therefore, I would like to offer support as a PSS for anyone who feels like they could just use another friend to talk to or would like advice or a place to rant about issues they do not feel comfortable sharing with others.
My Approach!
My approach to peer support would be first, to listen and be supportive. Going in with an open mind and keeping what you hear as a PSS confidential is also of the utmost priority.
